By now we imagine you’ve watched The Walking Dead season seven premiere in all its gory glory, and if you’re like us it was a painful and unpleasant experience. For the first half an hour they made us beg to see who ended up getting killed by Negan, and then they made us beg again to stop showing it. It took us about a day and a half to shake off the heebie jeebies … I know I’m just getting back to normal.
But now that we’re mostly over it, we can look back and laugh at this comprehensive reaction video showing dozens of people flipping out as Negan and Lucille ruin their Sunday night. It’s a roller coaster of emotions as people go from antsy to annoyed to horrified to even more horrified. Everyone ends up in a state of shock, but somehow it’s actually kinda funny because we were right there with ’em a few days ago too.
We all willingly tuned into the same show and let it troll and torture us for over an hour, and most of us are going right back next Sunday for even more. Just like Rick belongs to Negan, we belong to The Walking Dead. There’s something kind of masochistic going on here at this point, and while watching people scream and cry and swear at the television doesn’t explain it, it’s certainly something to witness.
