DeMarcus Cousins seems to be embracing his new home in New Orleans. After being unceremoniously traded by the Kings to the Pelicans, Cousins has teamed up with fellow former Kentucky Wildcat Anthony Davis to form one of the most formidable frontcourts in the NBA.
While it hasn’t manifested itself into wins in the first three games of the Cousins era, his comfort in the city is becoming increasingly apparent. Take Fat Tuesday, for example, when Cousins, Davis and others rode around on top of a Mardi Gras float. Davis was on the microphone talking to the crowd while Cousins, well, he wore panties on his head.
It's safe to say that @boogiecousins is having no problems adjusting to New Orleans. He's currently riding in Zulu with panties on his head. pic.twitter.com/F9TZC0DjwP

You may ask “why would Cousins have panties on his head?” And the answer to that question is you have clearly never been to a Mardi Gras parade where you’re the weird one for not putting panties on your head. Boogie also was spotted holding a very large bottle of Hennessy, again, because it’s Mardi Gras and that’s the appropriate thing to do.

This is true happiness, right here.
Cousins is no stranger to Mardi Gras, having grown up in Mobile, Alabama (where he’s quick to tell you is the birthplace of Mardi Gras), and he seems pretty happy to be back in the South. Whether the wins come this season is still yet to be determined for the Pelicans, but if anyone was wondering if Cousins would enjoy himself in New Orleans, the answer is pretty clear. As a free agent to be, this is encouraging for Pelicans fans hoping to keep him long-term.
