This reads like UPROXX fan fiction, but it actually happened: at the SNL season finale after-party, Amy Poehler joined the Foo Fighters, playing under their 1970s cover band moniker Chevy Metal, on-stage at the Rockefeller Center Skating Rink to sing Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation,” a.k.a. the theme song from Freaks and Geeks.
We obviously weren’t cool enough to attend (just as well — we would have done unspeakable things to Jason Sudeikis’s girlfriend, Olivia Wilde), but luckily someone who was walking by 30 Rock that night recorded the performance. The only thing that could have made this better is if Nasim Pedrad and Taran Killam had joined them, and started doing the “Les Jeunes de Paris” dance on top of Gilly’s grave. Maybe next year.
