LSD or Concuss-o-vision?

Former running back Priest Holmes spoke with FOX Sports’ The Daily column about the pernicious aftereffects of taking several hundred hits to the head as an NFL player. Holmes touched on symptoms that are certainly troubling, such as migraine and arthritis pain, but also well known from being typically listed by former players.

Where Holmes’ comments differed was in the amount of detail he shared on the immediate aftermath of taking a vicious hit to the head. Turns out you can feel your brain dying, but WITH BRIGHT COLORS!

For a moment, as bodies are peeled off a woozy ballcarrier by officials and teammates, the sky can change color or become a heavenly light.

“This color obviously isn’t going to be blue. It can be a color that can be orange. It can be red. The sky could turn green,” Holmes told The Daily. “There’s even an episode where you see a clear light, like light at the end of the tunnel.”

To phrase it another way: “Remember that movie What Dreams May Come? It was like that but less painful.”
