Donald Trump’s Sniffling During The Debate Is Driving Everyone Crazy

When Hillary Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia earlier this month (which her spokesperson Brian Fallon said was a non-controversy that her team “could have handled it better in terms of providing more information more quickly”), Donald Trump mocked her health. He told a crowd that he feels “as good today as I did when I was 30,” and then joked about Clinton overheating. “It is hot — and it’s always hot when I perform because the crowds are so big. These rooms were not designed for this kind of a crowd,” he said. “I dunno, folks. You think Hillary would be able to stand up here for an hour and do this? I don’t know. I don’t think so.”

Here’s what everyone watching tonight’s presidential debate is thinking: stop sniffling into the microphone, Donald Trump, who’s clearly slightly sick, and therefore, isn’t fit to be president. We’re already off to a great start.

The sniffling is one of those things that, like the Woo Guy at the Super Bowl, once you hear it, you can’t not hear it. Patton Oswalt had one of the most damning responses, tweeting, “SNIIIIFFFFFFFFFFF. SNIFF SNIFF SNIFF. I’m VERY VERY worried about Trump’s health. What is he hiding?” Just blow your nose, Donald — it would take less than five minutes.
