Marvel has shipped out a deluge of new images and a video from Thor: The Dark World, most of those pictures appearing in next Thursday’s issue of Empire Magazine. The film opens this November 8th. If you didn’t see the first trailer or the second, allow us to summarize:
And we’re back.
“You know, we are killing Asgardians in this movie,” says director Alan Taylor […] “It turns out immortality isn’t all that it was cracked up to be.”
Explains producer Craig Kyle, […] “And in our film, finally the Bifrost has been rebuilt, but during that time, when the cops were largely cut off from the rest of the universe, you had miscreants that came in from outside the Nine Realms, pillaging and destroying and causing havoc. So that’s what our guys have been doing now – trying to put all these fires out across the Nine Realms.” [Empire]
In addition to all the new pictures from Empire and Marvel, we also have a featurette, in which Chris Hemsworth says the movie will follow Thor “becoming king, and coming to terms with the responsibilities that becoming king carries.”
We’ve heard it’s good to be king.

Continue on for about twenty more new images from Thor: The Dark World.
SPOILER ALERT
The next page contains several pictures of Christopher Eccleston as Malekith the Accursed and his Dark Elf Army, which sounds like a metal band but isn’t. If you wanted to The Thing this thing and not see the villain beforehand, don’t continue to the last page.
