Tina Fey is not only an SNL legend, but she is also a proud University of Virginia alum, class of ’92. That made her uniquely qualified to comment on the horrific events in Charlottesville, so she returned to 30 Rockefeller to once again sit behind the Weekend Update desk (this time as a guest, not correspondent) to go scorched earth on Nazis, President Trump, and his troubling response to the terrorist attack.

The special summer version of Weekend Update has certainly been bringing out the SNL heavyweights, including Bill Hader as Anthony Scaramucci, and Fey is absolutely on fire. After declaring her love for the school, Fey explained that she “saw Raiders of the Lost Ark and wasn’t confused by it,” and that (duh) Nazis are always bad, an opinion that seems to be a bridge to far for “Donny John.”
Fey goes on to explain that as troubling it is that nine more white supremacy rallies are planned, including one in New York City, she kind of hopes that the Nazis try it so they “get the ham salad beaten out of them by some drag queens, because you know what a drag queen still is? A six-foot-four black man.”

However, Fey went on to spit absolute fire after breaking out a sheet cake and steadily demolishing it while explaining the logical inconsistencies and absolutely vile politics behind these rallies. Not only will it make you want to go and buy a sheet cake from your local bakery, but it is truly a masterpiece of righteous anger. So, to conclude, “treat these rallies like thoughtful movies with two female leads. Don’t show up.”
