Justin Timberlake couldn’t be in New York City this weekend for his friend Andy Samberg’s hosting duties on Saturday Night Live, because he’s off touring around the world for his trillions of screaming fans, so there was no chance he was going to be in Vegas for the Billboard Music Awards. But he was kind enough to record a message for all of his fans watching the show to thank them for making him the Top Artist of the year, above other artists that he’s definitely clearly better than.
Of course, it’s not a classic Timberlake moment if he doesn’t inject a little of his humor and charm, so after he thanked “everyone in the world,” he managed to toss in a shot at embattled Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, because it’s literally the easiest thing in the world to do right now.
