Imagine it’s your wedding day (first or second marriage, doesn’t matter) and some random dudes stroll into the reception like they own the place and start setting up a makeshift concert stage. You’d be pretty pissed, right? Well, Adam Levine and those other guys from Maroon 5 decided to test the tempers of young couples throughout Los Angeles on their wedding day by driving around to “random” receptions and “crashing” them with impromptu performances of their latest single, “Sugar.” And if that wasn’t enough, they brought video crews so they could record all of the spontaneous reactions from the young people who love Maroon 5 and the old folks who had no f*cking clue who these dapper punks were.
Real or fake, the gimmick is nice enough that you can’t help but enjoy it, unless you’re the type of person who instinctively ignores Maroon 5. In either case, we should all just be happy they weren’t playing “Animal.” Enough already with that song.
A few thoughts on this music video:
This groom…
… probably had a hell of a wedding night. Also, this old guy who had no clue what was going on…
… should be invited to every wedding forever.
