Former Dukie Jabari Parker had barely gotten his feet wet in his rookie NBA campaign before suffering an ACL tear that knocked him out for the rest of the season. His first 25 games saw him average 12.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in a shade under 30 minutes a night as he showed enough of his potential after one year at Duke to warrant his No. 2 selection in the acclaimed 2014 Draft. But then it was over — almost before it had started.
After coming out of Chicago to national prominence in high school, Parker wowed ACC crowds in his lone season at Duke. It’s that career trajectory from high school to college to the pros he’s looking back on in this new Gatorade spot.
