At this point, it’s nearly become a running joke every time we announce a new Amy Schumer thing. It seems like Schumer has become the comedy It Girl overnight, with her hands in nearly every ongoing project in TV, film, and stand-up. So, it should come as little surprise that Schumer is teaming up next with Paul Feig (who is also developing a comedy with Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson of Broad City) for her sophomore film, a mother-daughter comedy for Fox.
The Hollywood Reporter writes that Schumer and her sister Kim Caramele will be reworking an original script from screenwriter Katie Dippold (The Heat, Ghostbusters reboot) to put the main character in Schumer’s voice. Details are thin at this point, but the plot is being described as a “mother-daughter duo trapped in a vacation gone wrong.” I guess all we need now is to find out who’ll be playing Amy Schumer’s mother. Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing her paired with Jennifer Coolidge again.
