On Monday afternoon, the NFL dropped its hammer on Tom Brady and the Patriots for their alleged role in Deflategate, suspending Brady for four games, while also administering a $1 million fine and the loss of multiple draft picks for the team. Immediately afterwards, a few Patriots players voiced their displeasure with the ruling on Twitter, calling it “ridiculous” and, well, “f*cking ridiculous.” Just as scathing was Brady’s agent, Don Yee, who said, “The NFL has a well-documented history of making poor disciplinary decisions that often are overturned.”

Ouch.

On Monday evening, Patriots chairman Robert Kraft joined the fun by releasing a statement where he, too, came out firing at the ruling.

Brady is appealing his suspension, and the Player’s Union has asked for Kraft’s support in that regard. At this point, the Patriots have not announced any plans to appeal their fine or loss of draft picks.
