It’s been a few months since we last checked in on Tracy Morgan as he continues to recover from the car accident that nearly killed him, and did kill his close friend James McNair.
Fortunately, it seems as though Morgan’s recovery is going well, as he was able to appear at the Yankees game on Tuesday night with his daughter Maven sitting in the front row. When Morgan was shown on the scoreboard in the second inning, he received a large round of applause from the New York crowd, and he responded with a wave back to his fans.
It’s likely that it will still be a long while before Morgan is ready and willing to once again perform comedy. However, it appears as though he’s on the right track, which is great news. In the meantime, Morgan’s appearance at an MLB game is a good excuse to revisit one of his best SNL characters, Brian Fellow, who you may forget got his start as a sports reporter on Weekend Update before moving over to Safari Planet.
