Donald Trump’s Tweets About International Women’s Day Were Predictably Not Well Received

Happy International Women’s Day, everyone — the global day set forth to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This year’s Women’s Day is especially of importance in light of the January 21 Women’s March that took place all across the world, with many participating in today’s follow up A Day Without A Woman strike coinciding with the holiday.

In other words, International Women’s Day is a pretty big deal this year!

And because as we all know, nobody respects women more than him, even Donald Trump had a few words to say about International Women’s Day on Twitter:

You almost have to give the guy credit (if he actually wrote this, which, lol) because nowhere in those tweets does he mention FAKE NEWS, voter fraud, Hillary Clinton and/or Democrats losing the election, or the word “sad” followed by an exclamation point. But let us not forget that this is the same guy who once said to Billy Bush on the subject of women: “I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything … Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.” So you’ll have to excuse us if we roll our eyes so far back in our head when it comes to what Trump considers the “critical role of women.”

And of course, that’s exactly what people on Twitter did, skewering the President’s insincere remarks:
