Metrodome Deflated, Plays Its Last Note for Minnesota Vikings

The home of the Minnesota Vikings began the demolition process by deflating the dome roof early Saturday morning. The Metrodome, host of many promising seasons that ultimately lead to disappointment over the last 32 years, will be replaced with TCF Bank Stadium until the new stadium is built for the 2016 season.

The stadium’s deflation process took a little over a half hour, but it didn’t go away quietly. After reviewing the footage from multiple angles, we’ve enhanced the audio to hear the Vikings’ Gjallarhorn slowly play out the stadium’s last notes.
