100-Word Review – Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’

Not content with elbowing through the currently crowded EDM scene, EDM godfathers Daft Punk took something of a step back with Random Access Memories. All for the better, too: the eclectic combination of disco, ’90s-era jam and even a couple of choice techno cuts blend together wonderfully, like a sonic smoothy encompassing some seminal (and varied) moments in pop music history. There are a few hiccups along the way, but the project is a completely satisfying affair that’s fit to wear the Daft Punk label.

Standout Songs: “Get Lucky,” “Contact,” “Beyond”
