You may have heard David Banner will be dropping an upcoming album called Sex, Drugs & Video Games this spring. But, what you probably didn’t know is that it’s free. However, before you start rubbing your hands together like Birdman, just know there’s one stipulation. As part of his “2M1” movement, the rubber-band-banker is taking a page out of Louis CK’s playbook and looking to change the way urban artists and their fans do business together.

When the LP drops on May 22, those who want to buy the album will be asked to donate a single dollar and their e-mail address, in hopes of cutting out middle-men and building a more-beneficial artist-consumer relationship. It may sound easier said than done, but the Hilarious comedian Banner cites as his influence racked up over $500K when offering his Live At The Beacon Theatre special in the same format, so the opportunity is definitely there.

In an effort to help promote that forward-thinking project, the big homie has hooked up with the little homie, as Big K.R.I.T. joins the former Crooked Lettaz member for the video to the project’s latest single, “Believe.” Directed by Jonathan Andrade, the visual finds these two freshly-dressed Mississippi men trying dedicating a track to their hometown state, hoping to inspire others to achieve things that may seem out of reach for some country folk. Considering the these are probably the most prominent names to come from the hospitality state maybe ever, we can assume their efforts will not go unseen.
