‘King Of New York’ Remake May Star Diddy As Frank White

In meta movie news, P. Diddy, who brought the Notorious B.I.G. aka the Black Frank White to the scene, is now in talks to remake the cult classic King of New York. The film’s main character, played by Christopher Walken, was the inspiration for Biggie’s alias. If that’s not enough, Diddy is allegedly considering playing the lead role himself.

Puff purchased the remake rights in 2011, and has now formed a team to produce the cult classic. As much as many of us loved the original, it was not without its problems. Jimmy Jump and the crew were a bit too bug-eyed for my taste, so maybe the Bad Boy CEO can make the rest of the characters as cool as Frank himself. I think this may be worth checking out, as long he keeps Schooly D on the soundtrack—and I don’t mean a remix featuring French Montana and Red Café.
