Drake’s super anticipated Nothing Was The Same album is scheduled to be released September 17 but it looks like the album may have been pushed back.

HITS Daily Double and Best Buy now have NWTS releasing September 24, one week after its original release date. There’s been no confirmation or any word as to why the album could be possibly pushed back but a September 17 release would’ve seen the rapper going head-to-head with Maybach Music Group’s Self Made Vol. 3 on the charts. If the new date holds up, Papi will now be battling stiffer competition – Metallica, whose previous first week sales saw the legendary heavy metal band’s Death Magnetic album going damn near gold in 2008.

And for anyone tuning in for the VMA’s this Sunday, Drake just announced via Twitter that he will be performing at the award ceremony.
