Not a fan of Kanye West? Then abandoning the ‘net for a few weeks may be in order. The stir Kanye West caused last night was only the beginning of what’s sure to be a whirlwind.

According to Rap-Up, Kanye’s new album will be titled Yeezus and will release on June 18. The news comes on the heels of last night’s stirring release of the song “New Slaves” and precedes West’s appearance on tonight’s SNL season finale. The album’s release date matches the same one Kanye tweeted weeks ago, the same date that was “confirmed” then “retracted.”

As an aside, this video recording of “New Slaves” was spotted over at eskay’s corner earlier and the backstory’s interesting and the audio’s clearer than the trillion other clips floating around, including those shitty Vine versions.

“After 2 no shows. One on 27th & 6th & another a F.I.T. andddddd missing the premiere at Columbus Circle. I met 2 cool dudes waiting at FIT & decided to split the cab fare 3 Ways & made it JUST in time for the last showing. We watched the premiere & was advised to wait 15 minutes for the truck come around. “It would be worth wait we were told” While speculating I asked some folks what they thought was going to happen. The truck pulls around for another encore & we’re expecting Kanye to perform…. The video plays….. It Finishes. And nothing happens…. Kanye was on the corner of 5th Ave…. Watching us as we’re watching him on the wall & gracefully disappears into the city in his Maybach….. EPIC!”
