DJ Drama Feat. Future, Young Jeezy, T.I. & Ludacris – “We In This B*tch” Video

What we have here is the visual for DJ Drama’s “all Atlanta everything” posse cut, “We In This B*tch.” It’s nothing special and chances are you’ll probably never watch it again (and that’s fine). This clip isn’t why I’m here though. While watching the video, my mind wandered and stumbled upon Dram’s place in rap history.

I’m not sure how this Hip-Hop Hall Of Fame thing works, but eventually, Drama will get inducted (at least in my mind). Is he a first ballot recipient? Probably not, but his impact on the rap game – especially during the mid-2000s – was dominant beyond belief. He assisted in the makeover of the mixtape culture, helped create a brand still viewed as one of the more respected cosigns in the industry (“Gangsta Grillz”) and remains a critical reason why the careers of Young Jeezy, T.I. and a then-Lil Wayne (in that foggy transitional period of his career prior to becoming a worldwide megastar) blossomed.

There are some knocks against the guy as is the case with anyone in the entertainment field, but for the most part, he’s brought way more pros than cons, no?
