2013 MTV Video Music Awards - Show

The annual MTV VMAs happened last night (interfering with a spectacular episode of Breaking Bad) and a lot went down.

David D. already raved about Kanye’s live rendition of “Blood On The Leaves” and Katy Perry’s cans starred in another series of GIFs. Selena Gomez looked absolutely stunning, while Rihanna looked like she’d rather be at home folding laundry. The ever perfect Taylor Swift got caught slipping as cameras captured her dropping the sacrilegious F-word.

Oh yeah, there was also music. Here are what are undoubtedly the most noteworthy performances from the 2013 VMAs.

Lady Gaga kicked things off in a mermaid costume, complete with clam shell thong, leaving almost nothing to the imagination.

Not to be outdone, Miley Cyrus followed up Gaga by delivering every provocative trick in the book, grinding on Robin Thicke, and doing the sexiest things anyone can possibly do with a foam finger.

Drake recreated his new album cover while awkwardly singing* “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” before transitioning into a much more traditional Hip-Hop performance for “Started From The Bottom.”

And in the biggest news of the night, *NSYNC very briefly reunited during Justin Timberlake’s 20 minute set, simultaneously making and breaking the hearts of females around the world.

* — Drake’s singing has come a long way since 2009, but neither him, nor Kanye, nor Weezy can pull off Auto-Tune on stage.
