The Lox’s “Salute A Gee” Is An Accurate Title, But For Far More Than Just Music

While rather certain I’ve noted this before, the most impressive trait about Sheek Louch, Styles P and Jadakiss isn’t much about their music anymore.

It’s the fact they’re still the band of brothers they were when Biggie sang their praises and provided them the ultimate proving ground 18 years ago on “You’ll See.” The music industry being as fickle as it is and infamous for driving wedges in between the most storied of frienships, the LOX appear to be one of the rare exceptions.

Their new song “Salute A Gee” has its highlights, but may not be reminiscent of many “classic L-O-X” anthems from yesteryear. I couldn’t tell you if it’s landing on a forthcoming mixtape or album. And I’m 97% sure it won’t land on our “Intermission” list dropping soon.

Yet and still, it’s Montega Jada, The Ghost and Sheek Louciano rhyming. Together. Day one aggins. So, yeah, I’ll salute the three OGs to that. No doubt.
