Wale now has a reason to not give one grain of f*ck about rappers disliking him because according to the official tally, the MMG has a number #1 album on his hands with The Gifted.

The once left-for-dead rapper sold 158,000 copies of his third studio album, enough to claim pole position on the Billboard charts. Wale also hopped on Twitter on Tuesday to thank his boss for “believing in his vision.” And in true Wale fashion, Folarin addressed the haters by remarking “Nighas tryna troll durin my victory lap.. Nighas don’t even brush they teeth before they get in my situation daily.” Good for you, Wale. Good for you.

In a not-so-surprising second week, J. Cole’s Born Sinner outsold Kanye’s Yeezus with 84,000 additional units sold, enough to remain the #2 album in the country. When it’s all said and done, industry insiders predict Cole’s three-cig album to end up beating Yeezus in overall album sales.

Yeezus‘ 80% decline pushed him back to #3 after debuting at #1 on the charts last week as the new dad sold a paltry 65,000 copies. And this is why we now have an impending single, a video, tweets and reports that he and his daughter’s mother have broken up. #oldrules.
