The temperature’s rising, the sun is shining…yet there you are trapped inside trying to fight off the doldrums. Cheer up, dear friend, as we’ve got the happy serum right with five songs to brighten up any day. Rinse, wash and keep these on repeat and, before you know it, you’ll be at the barbeque or beach envisioned in your dreams.

1. Mariah Carey Ft. Miguel – “#Beautiful”

The unexpected pairing created this breezy tune that gets you humming and whistling right along. This is what sunshine sounds like.

Ryan Hemsworth Still Awake

2. Ryan Hemsworth – “Perfectly”

This feelgood instrumental will have you tapping your feet and thinking good thoughts. And, if you’re feeling froggy, you might even spit a freestyle.

3. Daft Punk & Pharrell Williams – “Lucky”

Daft Punk came out this time and earned their biggest hit to date, and rightfully so. Their exact same formula, funk with a twist of electronic elements, just sounds so sweet.

4. Solange Ft. Kendrick Lamar – “Looks Good With Trouble”

Solonge’s falsetto sounds so nice over this smooth, misty track that you almost don’t need Kendrick’s guest verse at all. But it’s Kendrick, so we love it.

5. Pharrell Williams – “Happy”

You do realize 2013 is Skateboard P’s year, right? Alongside his work with other artists, this Motown-styled, doo-wop solo tune for Despicable Me 2 will get the hipsters and Millennials dancing together.
