Whew, boy! Black Milk is coming out of the gates firing for the top of the year. Last week, he hits fans off with his hustlers soundtrack, “Like I Need It All,” and now he’s followed that up with another new track titled “For 4ever.” Here, the Detroit native puts you in the mind of mid-90s material like Pete and C.L. Smooth’s “Searching,” except were talking about the best of both combined into one being. Relationships are the topic at hand but Black handles it all in a way that doesn’t come off mushy. Over a wailing sample and a moseying beat, he crams in a lot of little lyrical gems with a quick-tongued approach.

“I see the light when I see the sight,
you right there when I need a life,
This just the surfaces, no one’s perfect,
Hope one day I get it right.”

Give “For 4ever” a listen, then pick it up for a buck on Bandcamp.
